Kirstin Gunderson, MBA, ’12

Kirstin Gunderson, MBA, ’12, was recognized for her clean energy leadership in the “corporate implementation” category by the U.S. Clean Energy Education and Empowerment (C3E) program at the annual Women in Clean Energy Symposium.

Gunderson is a senior manager for Walmart’s energy team, where she helps drive the deployment and management of Walmart’s on-site renewable portfolio, advancing the company’s goal of producing or procuring 7 billion kilowatt hours of renewable energy globally by 2020.  Long-term, Walmart’s goal is to be supplied 100 percent by renewable energy.  Last year, Gunderson led the installation of a Walmart wind turbine in Red Bluff, California.
