Katia Passerini, MBA, `96, PhD, `01, has been appointed interim dean of the Albert Dorman Honors College at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). Her position takes effect Aug. 1.
Passerini came to GW as an undergraduate on an exchange program and finished her bachelor’s degree in Italy. She returned to GW to earn her MBA on a Fulbright scholarship and went on to earn a PhD in 2001. Passerini’s doctorate was in information and decision systems under the advocacy of Mary Granger, professor of information systems and technology management and director of the Master of Science in Information Systems Technology Program (MSIST). Passerini also holds a master’s in economics from the University of Rome Tor Vergata, Italy, and a certificate in business project management from New York University.
