Maria Bea Querido, BBA, `08; MTA, ’08, has been selected for the 2013 Filipino American Youth Leadership Program (FYLPro) by the The Embassy of the Philippines  in Washington, D.C.

Querido  is part of the second batch of ten young Filipino-Americans in the United States and Guam picked for the immersive program, which will take place in Manila July 7 – 11. Participants will meet with officials and policymakers, leaders of industry, legislators, media, artists and cultural experts, entrepreneurs and innovators in different fields.

Querido, of Seattle, Wash., is a program management and supply chain lead at The Boeing Company. She was employed in Lockheed Martin as a finance and accounting analyst, served as vice president of the Filipino Young Professionals in Washington, and interned at the White House, and for former Democratic California State Senator Betty Karnette. She is also a graduate of the Advanced Project Management Program at Stanford University.
