GWSB undergraduate Emily Wilson is the recipient of a 2013 GEICO Achievement Award.
The program, which was started by the insurance company more than 25 years ago, provides $1,000 awards to undergraduates who demonstrate dedication to “academic success, leadership and service.”
Mark Hannan, visiting assistant professor of strategic management and public policy, recommended Wilson for the award.
“Emily was a wonderful student: diligent and incredibly disciplined. It was a pleasure to have had the opportunity to study with her,” he said.
The GEICO awards are open to sophomores and juniors who major in fields such as business, computer science or mathematics that are important to the success of companies like GEICO.
