Dean Guthrie moderates a question-and-answer session with Michael Kaiser of the Kennedy Center.

This month, GWSB’s Conversations on Creative Leadership series continued with presentations on philanthropy and the arts. On April 10, GWSB hosted Paull Young, director of digital at charity:  water, a nonprofit that works to bring clean drinking water to 800 million people worldwide who are without it.

On April 17, the featured speaker was Michael Kaiser, president of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, who has drawn recognition for leading artistic and cultural organizations out of stagnation and financial difficulties. Over the past 12 years, he has been instrumental in raising the Kennedy Center’s national profile.

The series explores the role of creative leaders in bringing together government, private industry, nonprofits and academic institutions to solve society’s most challenging problems.
