Gary Stevenson, MBA, ’82, president of Pac-12 Enterprises and an innovator in sports marketing and media strategies, was inducted on April 4 into the GW Sports Executive Hall of Fame.
The Hall of Fame was created in 2007 to honor alumni who are working at executive levels in professional sports.
“We are excited to have such an exemplary role model as an alum that our current students can learn from,” said Lisa Delpy Neirotti, associate professor and director of sport management programs at GWSB. “Gary is recognized as a true thought-leader in the sports industry and has made a substantial impact on both the people and organizations with whom he has worked.”
Stevenson has more than 30 years of experience in sports, including work with the Golf Channel, the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the PGA Tour. In 1997, he created the company OnSport, which was the principal architect of the PGA’s Wachovia Championship, the U.S. Tennis Association’s U.S. Open Series, and Nationwide’s successful campaign with NASCAR.
