Panel Airs Corporate “Tone at the Top”

What:  The next program in GWSB’s Institute for Corporate Responsibility’s (ICR) Challenges in Corporate Governance series will focus on the role of corporate directors in establishing a corporate culture – or “tone at the top” — that permeates their companies.   The concept, while not new, became particularly important for boards after the accounting scandals in the early part of the decade and the 2008 financial crisis.  The series is co-sponsored by ICR and the Center for Law, Economics, and Finance (C-LEAF) at GW Law.

When:  5 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., Mon., April 15 (A reception will follow.)

Where:   Duques Hall 652
2201 G Street, NW, Washington, DC  20052

The panel will be moderated by Cynthia A. Glassman, ICR’s senior research scholar.  Panelists include:

  • Cynthia Fornelli, executive director, Center for Audit Quality
  • Robert Kueppers, managing partner, Center for Corporate Governance
Deloitte LLC
  • Susan Phillips, GWSB dean and professor of finance emerita

Please contact Patti Niles at ICR, (202) 994-5206, with questions.
