Lisa Delpy Neirotti, associate professor and director of sport management programs, has been named a “Fulbright Specialist” in her field – creating opportunity for her to consult with academic institutions overseas.
The specialist program allows schools and other organizations, through the U.S. embassy in their countries, to have a specialist work with them on projects, presentations or curricula.
Delpy Neirotti said universities in Brazil have already requested her help in developing or expanding sport management programs. She also expects Vietnam, where she traveled in January, to request assistance, as it is planning to host several large sporting events in the future.
Delpy Neirotti would travel for short periods, one to two weeks, on consulting trips.
The Fulbright specialist program is coordinated through the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board (FSB), the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs (ECA), and the Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES).
