GWSB Professor Takes Part in Panel on Sports Injuries

What:  A panel discussion on sports injury risk.

When:  Wed., Feb. 27, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Where:  Knight Hall’s Richard Eaton auditorium at the University of Maryland, College Park.

The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

Panelists include:  Mark Hyman, adjunct professor of sport management and the author of several books on kids sports including Until It Hurts: America’s Obsession with Youth Sports and How It Harms Our Kids; Stephen Haas, retired physician for Washington, D.C., professional sports teams; Sean Sansiveri of the NFL Players Association; Scott Hallenbeck, executive director of USA Football; Rick “Doc” Walker, retired player and sports broadcaster; and Katie O’Donnell of the University of Maryland, 2009 National Field Hockey player of the year.
