GWSB’s Spring Career Fair Draws Students, Employers
More than 300 GWSB students met with prospective employers last month at the Spring 2013 Career Fair run by the School’s F. David Fowler Career Center.
Representatives from over two dozen government entities and private businesses, including banks, accounting and insurance firms, hotels, and science and technology companies, set up booths in the Marvin Center to discuss job opportunities with students who have recently, or will soon, enter the job market.
Jacque Riley, who just received her MBA from GWSB and previously owned a public relations company, said she was particularly pleased to see hotels represented at the fair.
“There were a lot of good companies there, especially for a pretty intimate fair,” said Riley.
The Center traditionally has held the spring fair in April. But last year, it was moved to January to better coincide with the kick-off of many employers’ spring recruitment seasons.
