Howard B. Rubin, BBA, `81

Howard B. Rubin, BBA, `81, vice chair of GWSB’s Board of Advisors, has been named to the Board of Trustees of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.  The trustees serve as advisors to the hospital’s board of directors and officers.

Rubin is chief operating officer (COO) and chief financial officer (CFO) of Midwood Capital Management LLC, where he is responsible for the non-investment activities of the investment manager, including fund accounting, client service and marketing, and compliance.

Rubin previously was a managing member and COO of Tara Hill Capital Management LP, a Boston-based long-short equity hedge fund firm he helped form in 2009. Prior to that, he was senior managing partner of Boldwater Capital Management, a $300 million long-short hedge fund organization based in Boston. He had previously spent 17 years at Standish, Ayer & Wood Inc., now Standish Mellon Asset Management, including in roles as director and executive committee member.
