“Business Gives Back” Seeks Alumni Award Nominations
GWSB’s “Business Gives Back,” a student-led initiative that promotes responsible corporate citizenship, is seeking nominations for its second annual Distinguished Alumni Award.
Nominations are due Feb. 22 for an award that recognizes an alumnus for ethical leadership in following responsible, sustainable business practices.
This year’s honoree will be recognized at Business Gives Back’s annual gala in April 2013, and with a plaque in Duquès Hall.
Last year, the award was presented to Dan Simons, a principal at the international restaurant consulting firm Vucurevich Simons Advisory Group (VSAG) and the managing partner of Farmers Restaurant Group.
Simons, a 1992 GWSB graduate, was nominated for incorporating sustainable practices in his successful Founding Farmers restaurants.
Nominations can come from faculty, staff or alumni. To qualify, a nominee must be a GWSB graduate, faculty or staff member, or a GW trustee.
