Capt. Michael Weiner, MSIST, `08, has been named one of the “Top 50 Federal Leaders in IT (information technology) of 2012″ by FedScoop.
Weiner is the chief medical information officer for the U.S. Department of Defense.
The leaders were honored at the first-annual FedScoop 50 Awards ceremony held at the Hay Adams Hotel in Washington, D.C., and attended by more than 150 government and private sector leaders from the White House and the U.S. Department of Defense, among other institutions and agencies.
The awardees were nominated by their peers in government and voted on by FedScoop’s readers. More than 8,000 votes were cast for winners in categories that included federal executives, federal leaders, industry leaders, federal IT programs, federal innovations, mentors and up-and-comers.
