Sandra Robinson, MSPM, `05, is interim director of the D.C. Health Benefit Exchange Authority. The authority is trying to merge the District’s individual and small group markets and to require all small businesses within its boundaries to buy health coverage through a District-run health insurance exchange.
The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 (PPACA) calls for state and federal agencies to make the services of health insurance exchanges, or Web-based health insurance supermarkets, available to all U.S. consumers by Jan. 1, 2014.
Robinson is now the chief operating officer at the district’s health department.
Robinson is now the chief operating officer at the district’s health department. Before that, she was deputy director for operations at the department’s Community Health Administration unit.
Robinson has been involved with health program management since 2006.
