Jorge Walter
Jorge Walter, associate professor of strategic management and public policy, gave a presentation at the Strategic Management Society Conference in Prague, Czech Republic, Oct. 6-9, on his paper, “Relational enhancement: How to unlock the value of network bridges.”
The paper was co-authored by D.Z. Levin of Rutgers University; M.M. Appleyard of Portland State University, and R. Cross of the University of Virginia. The researchers, through two complementary studies, proposed and tested a novel approach to the conundrum that the very network-bridging structure most likely to provide access to novel knowledge may be poorly suited for the cooperation needed to successfully transfer that knowledge.
