Annamaria Lusardi

Annamaria Lusardi, Denit Trust Distinguished Scholar in Economics and Accountancy, was interviewed by Fox Business News (10/3) on the importance of schools instructing children at an early age about money management and finance.

New financial literacy research, by Lusardi and others, was highlighted by Time’s Moneyland (9/26) section. The research found that an early understanding of finances is accountable for up to half the wealth gap between lower-income and wealthy people; that those who learn about finances early tend to accumulate assets faster; and that those with more assets continue to learn about finances because they have more wealth at stake.
