Jorge Walter

Jorge Walter, assistant professor of strategic management and public policy, co-authored a paper, “Decision-making within and between organizations: Rationality, politics, and alliance performance,” that was published in the Journal of Management, 38(5): 1582–1610. Walter wrote the paper with F.W. Kellermanns of the University of Tennessee and C. Lechner of the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.  The study, as outlined in the paper, extends research on strategic decision making into the realm of strategic alliances by examining the interactive effect of decision-process characteristics at the firm and alliance levels on alliance performance.

The Journal of Management is ranked 4 out of 166 among management journals; 4 out of 113 among business journals; and 1 out of 72 among applied psychology journals, according to the 2011 Journal Citation Reports (Thomson Reuters, 2012).
