Career Center Hosts Fall 2012 Career Fair

Julie Campbell, an IBM recruiter, speaks with Odelya Hayon, a junior majoring in marketing and international business, at the GWSB Fall 2012 Career Fair.
The F. David Fowler Career Center’s first-ever fall career fair drew hundreds of students to the grand ballroom of the Marvin Center on the Foggy Bottom Campus on Sept. 20 to speak with representatives from a diverse range of businesses, including a defense contractor, clothing manufacturer and credit union.
The School’s Career Center has traditionally hosted career fairs in the spring, to coincide with students’ imminent graduations and companies’ hiring seasons.
This year, it decided to also put on a fall fair, which drew interested responses from over 400 undergraduate students. A 2013 spring fair will also take place.
Some of the businesses present at the fall fair include Raytheon Co., J. Crew; Navy Federal Credit Union; the National Institutes of Health; Modus Hotels; KPMG LLP; Deloitte; BB&T; Fidelity Investments; and GEICO.
