Mark Hyman

Mark Hyman, a GWSB adjunct professor who teaches courses on sport management, sport law and sport communication, has a new book coming out Sept. 18. Co-authored with Dr. Robert Cantu, a neurosurgeon and director of the sports medicine service at Emerson Hospital in Concord, Mass., Concussions and Our Kids: America’s Leading Expert on How to Protect Young Athletes and Keep Sports Safe is the first prescriptive book to address the issue of head trauma in children’s sports, explain the causes and dangers, and provide preventative solutions.  Hyman is the author of the well-received The Most Expensive Game in Town: The Rising Cost of Youth Sports and the Toll on Today’s Families, and Until It Hurts: America’s Obsession with Youth Sports and How It Harms Our Kids.
