Emerites Cable Car Ride Anyone?

As an Olympic sponsor, Emerites Airline provided a cable car ride over the Thames River as their legacy project.  It traveled from the Royal Victoria Dock to Greenwich Peninsula where the North Greenwich O2 Arena is located.   It was very convenient to pay with our Oyster Card, but I’m not too sure the trip was worth the price!  It must have included the cost of being an Olympic tourist…Nonetheless it will continue to service the area even after the Games.  From what I hear, local commuters don’t necessarily agree with its practicality either.   It was a very short ride — only a little over half a mile, but the views were nice.
