Amongst History…

Horse Guards trotting down the road across from Hyde Park

One of the coolest parts about traveling to the Olympics is experiencing the history of the city in the midst of the Games.  Although the Olympics consume a large part of the city, the location’s history is still able to shine through in a unique way that has not been experienced before at any other Games.  For instance, a beach volleyball court down the street from Buckingham Palace?  Who whould’ve thunk?!? It’s been great to see how each historical piece of London plays a part in the Olympic spirit.
