GE Legacy in London – Truly Amazing

I have been quite impressed with the legacy of the London 2012 Games. East London received a much needed clean up and makeover. Something that I was not expecting however, was the legacy left behind by sponsors. We had an opportunity to visit the GE hospitality quarters and meet with the global sports marketing team and I was truly amazed by what I learned. Not only does GE work with Olympic facilities to provide cutting edge medical appliances to competing athletes; their reach expands far beyond the Games. GE revitalized Homerton University Hospital’s neonatal ward, an East London hospital with one of the highest infant mortality rates in the country. By providing this equipment, GE is giving these at-risk children the best possible chance in life. It is certainly encouraging to see Olympic sponsors further increase the legacy of the Games.
