beer anyone?
After living in “Middle-of-nowhere” Italy, I have pretty much become a country bumpkin, I think. I am thoroughly impressed by some of the innovation here in London. Today, I was walking through an underground passage from Trocadero to Piccadilly Circus tube station, and I saw this group of young people with their ghettoblasters – no, pardon me, wrong decade – iPod docking stations, breakdancing. Totally organic. Yeah, absolutely friggin AWESOME!!! The real thing, like in the movies (don’t laugh). I was blown away to say the least. They all looked at me weirdly too, like I didn’t belong, which made it even more authentic actually because of course, I don’t. If it weren’t for the fact that I have so much homework to do I would have sat down and watched, filmed, photographed, tried out a few moves…
Another innovative thing I saw were backpack beer-sellers at the Olympic Park. Yeah, I know, totally friggin’ brilliant (pardon my British). I rushed over to get one and was mildly annoyed that the beers cost 4.50£. Then again, these peoples’ job description must take labor costs through the roof!
