Tweeting

While visiting with GE, I learned about a very cool item they had in their showroom. In the picture below, you can see that some of the steps are lighting up with LED lights. They told us that when each light turns on, it means that someone around the world just tweeted and used the hash tag #London2012. This means that every time a tweet comes in with this hash tag, a different light turns on. It was so fun to watch and realize how prevalent twitter is these days and just how many people were tweeting about the Games. The lights were nonstop going on and off!!
