Leaving London through Heathrow
I made it through security at Heathrow in less than 15 minutes. This included a 10-minute conversion with the nicest desk attendant at British Airways. She told me that as an Olympic sponsor, BA employees were not allowed to take any extra time off during the Olympic Games. However, she said she was happy to be a representative for her company and shared her experiences seeing the Games in London. We bonded over our experience at Horse Guards Parade watching beach volleyball and I think this may have helped me not pay extra for my overweight bag! The Olympic spirit doesn’t stop in Olympic Park, it carries throughout all of London and even to the airports. I thought it would take me so much longer to travel to the airport that I chose to arrive three hours before my flight. I guess I now have a few hours to spend shopping at Heathrow.
Bye, London!
