I’ll take the Tube any day over the MBTA!

By Abby Wessman

With all the whinging from the locals and media about the transportation issues leading up to the Olympics, I have been pleasantly surprised riding the tube. And trust me, we have spent a great deal of our trip switching lines and riding the Tube to meet with sponsors and Olympic organizing committees on time. Running to/from the Tube stations may have been involved at times, but we were never waiting for a train, nor did we ever miss a train from being too full. As a Boston native always disappointed with the MBTA, I’m amazed at how often all the tube lines have trains running, most every 3 minutes. The other great thing that I love about the Tube is the clock that tells you when the next train is coming so you can estimate how long a trip will take you. Oh and I’ve been getting Wi-Fi underground, another major plus !
