Potters Fields Live Site

Tonight we went to the Potters Fields Live Site which is situated just on the south bank of the Thames near Tower Bridge. This live site was a great venue with an even greater view! There was one main screen with plenty of green space for people to enjoy the broadcast of the sporting events…and the food was delicious! Unlike the other main live sites in London (Hyde Park and Victoria Park, both sponsored by BT and quite large in comparison) this live site was not behind security screening (although there was a police presence). Locals and out-of-town visitors alike came together in this area to cheer on the athletes. Of the 3 sites I went to, I actually liked this one the best because it had a more organic and intimate feel to it and wasn’t quite so commercial. Here’s a quick video of the crowd cheering on and reacting to the result of a triple jumper in tonight’s athletics competition.
