Olympic Rings

While in London we have had lots of talks about how if you were walking around parts of the city, often times you would never know the Olympics were going on. There are a few signs near the metro stations – but signage has really been kept to a minimal. At first I wasn’t sure if this was normal and host cities only target certain areas around the venues when they are putting out the “look of the Games.” But after hearing other criticisms, I realized this was not the case. I think London has done a great job in some areas – but could improve on the overall “Olympic spirit” feeling through out the whole city. However, when we went down to Tower Bridge for the first time, I really felt inspired and that the Olympic Movement was all around just by seeing how magnificent the rings looked on the bridge.  It was really a site I will remember for the rest of my life.
