Design of London 2012 Merchandise Shops

During our meeting with Future Brand, Matt, the Creative Director, discussed how they incorporated the look of the games in the merchandise shops around London 2012. They used some of the same designs that are all around the other aspects of the games, such as the tickets, the stadiums and parks, withing the LOCOG stores. Not only the design and look of the merchandise but also the design and look of the actual stores. They had to plan and set up the store to match the design theme they had for the game. They also had to make sure the flow of the store was smooth and helped prevent long lines and confusion within the shops. It’s interesting to see how big of a difference the little things make.
