Annamaria Lusardi
Annamaria Lusardi, director of the Global Financial Literacy Center and the Denit Trust Professor of Economics and Accountancy, was one of three academics – together with R. Thaler from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and J. Lynch from the University of Colorado Leeds School of Business – who made a presentation to President Obama’s Advisory Council on Financial Capability at the U.S. Treasury on July 16. Lusardi talked about the importance of financial literacy in school, the workplace and communities.
Lusardi also attended the National Bureau of Economic Research’s Summer Institute, where she presented her theoretical work on financial literacy, “Optimal financial knowledge and wealth inequality.”
