The Globe

After the accreditation snafu, a few of us went to have dinner and watch the Opening Ceremony at a pub near our dorm called “The Globe”. It seemed like a very appropriate venue as we watched the “fragments” that paraded alongside each country’s flag bearer come together to form one flame. The pub patrons from all around the world came together and sang “Hey Jude” as Paul McCartney closed out the ceremony.
