The paper, “Why do Some Entrepreneurs Fail Forward (and others do Not?):  A moderation mediation model of learning,” by George Solomon, associate professor of management; Sheetal Singh, assistant professor of management; Vivianna He, a doctoral student; and Finnish researcher Charlotta Siren was selected as the “best paper in the psychology track” at the International Council for Small Business (ICSB) 57th World Conference in Wellington, New Zealand, on June 10-13.

Solomon was honored with the ICSB’s “president’s award” at the conference for his work to advance the Journal of Small Business Management. Graduate student Michael Battaglia was also singled out for this effort. GWSB’s Department of Management; Erik Winslow, professor of management and department chair; and the Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence were also cited for their efforts and support.
