Perkins, who has served as an advisor on economic policy and reform to the governments of Korea, China, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, addressed reform measures in China that are aimed at shifting the nation away from exports and toward greater domestic consumption.
The Growth Dialogue is a network that connects policymakers, researchers and others interested in economic growth. Danny Leipziger, professor of international business, is the managing director of the Growth Dialogue.
