Robert E. Loehe, MBA, ’74

Robert E. Loehe, MBA, ’74, of Silver Spring, Md., a retired Marine Corps colonel who served three tours of duty in Vietnam and earned his MBA while in the Marines, died March 13.  Col. Loehe joined the Marines at 17, rose through the enlisted ranks and attended officer candidate school.  His final assignment was at NATO headquarters in Naples, Italy.  He later operated a defense consulting firm.

  1. This posting is incorrect. First, Col. Loehe died on March 12, 2012, not March 13. I am Col. Loehe’s widow, and I was present at his death. Second, he served two tours in Vietnam, not three. Third, his final assignment was at Marine Headquarters in Quantico, Virginia, not at NATO headquarters in Naples, Italy. (The information on you website was erroneously supplied first to The Washington Post by Kurt Loehe, Colonel Loehe’s son.)
