This posting is incorrect. First, Col. Loehe died on March 12, 2012, not March 13. I am Col. Loehe’s widow, and I was present at his death. Second, he served two tours in Vietnam, not three. Third, his final assignment was at Marine Headquarters in Quantico, Virginia, not at NATO headquarters in Naples, Italy. (The information on you website was erroneously supplied first to The Washington Post by Kurt Loehe, Colonel Loehe’s son.)
