GWSB Team Earns 2nd Place in National Sports Forum

A GWSB graduate-student team earned second place in the National Sports Forum (NSF) Case Cup Competition held Jan. 30-Feb. 1 in Oklahoma City.

The NSF is a gathering of marketing, sales, promotions and events executives from professional and college sports teams and leagues. Since 2007, it has sponsored the Case Cup, a case-study competition for students in sports masters programs.

The GWSB team, which was given a case on the NCAA, was comprised of MBA students Jonathan Bench, Bobby Sanborn, Katie Savarise and Scott Oklin. Teams from 10 institutions were invited to compete.  Each team had 24 hours to prepare a 20-minute presentation.
