Tourism Institute Supports Sri Lanka Development
Volunteers for Economic Growth has launched a $24 million business development project in Sri Lanka with the support of the SAVE Travel Alliance, an initiative of the GWSB International Institute of Tourism Studies (http://business.gwu.edu/iits/) designed to connect travelers with sustainable destinations.
The four-year Sri Lanka project, which is funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development, is aimed at increasing jobs and income generation in the northern and eastern Sri Lanka by supporting various business enterprises in those regions.
