David R. Ellison, MS,’75

David R. Ellison, MS,’75, became the second president of the National Defense Intelligence College on Sept. 30, 2009.  A 1970 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, Ellison retired from the Navy in 2004 after a 34-year career.  Ellison commanded the USS Kidd in Operation Desert Storm and the USS Yorktown in the Adriatic during the conflict in the Balkans.  Previously, Ellison served as president of the New Mexico Military Institute and of the Naval Postgraduate School.
