Kristin Lamoureux, visiting assistant professor and director of the International Institute of Tourism Studies, was featured in the April 28 article “Volunteer Tourism in Egypt,” on The Travel Word blog, as well as the blog Travel off the Radar. The article discusses the potential for volunteer tourism in Cairo and Aswan. Lamoureux participated in a series of volunteer tourism workshops, consultations and media-outreach events across the country to help people in government, non-profits and the private sector examine how they might implement volunteer tourism in Egypt
