Career Center Connects Students, Local Businesses Through Metro Business Tours

Students visit the World Bank during the 2011 Metro Business Tour.
More than 50 GWSB students were offered a fresh perspective on their careers during the 2011 Metro Business Tours, organized by the F. David Fowler Career Center.
In March and April, six well-known employers welcomed GWSB students into their Washington, D.C. area offices to provide a valuable learning experience about what their day-to-day work entails. Participating firms included: BET Networks, Booz Allen Hamilton, The World Bank, The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), SiriusXM Radio and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
The FDFCC Employer Relations team worked closely with employer representatives to provide students with an opportunity to make valuable contacts, gain insight into the company’s culture, and better prepare students for their job search.
