Ian Cropp
Ian Cropp, MBA candidate ’11, was featured in The Washington Post March 27 article, “Why it cost so much to buy eyeglasses.” The story discusses the multiple variables that contribute to the price of eyeglasses. “While there are certainly lower-end spectacles that may be priced at $40 to $50, specialized designer eyeglasses can set you back $1,000. Can a pair of frames and lenses really cost that much? Well, no. After the material costs, there are litanies of other expenses that are often “pooled” into the cost of the product,” Cropp wrote.
