GWSB has one of the top MBA programs in the nation, according to recent rankings from U.S. News & World Report. GWSB’s full-time MBA program ranked 52 in the 2012 “America’s Best Graduate Schools” ranking, up from 55th last year. The School’s part-time MBA program is ranked 36th.
“The recognition of our business program reflects our efforts to teach our students to act responsibly, lead passionately and think globally,” said Doug Guthrie, dean of the school. “Our location at the intersection of business and politics gives students the ability to not only study the world, but to work to change it.”
U.S. News surveyed 437 accredited business schools to come up with its ranking of the top schools in the nation. The ranking includes a number of factors such as quality assessment score, a peer assessment score, a recruiter score, employment rates, mean starting salaries and student selectivity. The magazine’s part-time MBA rankings are based on a survey of business school deans and MBA program directors at 295 part-time M.B.A. programs.
“These rankings acknowledge our academic vision and our ongoing efforts to strengthen the GW School of Business,” said Liesl Riddle, associate dean of MBA programs. “We offer an innovative curriculum, bring cutting-edge research into the classroom, and provide students with many opportunities to solve real-world business problems in DC and around the world.”
