Getting to Know: Brian Hayes

Name: Brian Hayes

Job title: Research Assistant for the F. David Fowler Career Center

Job duties: I perform research tasks, manage online career resources, maintain and edit the website and social media and work with other staff members to ensure a smooth and timely delivery of Career Center resources and services.

Time at GW: Five months.

Best part of working at GWSB:  The people I work with are amazing and help the students with anything they need to find a job.

What co-workers do not know about me:  I worked my way through college as a woodworker, and I can build just about anything if it is made out of wood.

Family:   My parents live in Richmond, Va. I have one sister who lives in Alameda, Calif.  I live in Arlington with my fiancé Sara, and our dog Chanel.

Favorite things to do on the weekend: Hunting during the winter months and any kind of shooting sport. Playing XBOX and taking the dog to the dog park, visiting friends and family in Richmond, veging on the couch with my fiancée and watching “Law and Order: SVU.”

Favorite vacation spots: Bethany Beach and cruises to the Caribbean.

Favorite book: Tom Clancy’s “Rainbow Six.”
