Prof. William Halal Offers Tech Forecast

William Halal, professor emeritus of information systems and technology management, spoke Jan. 25 at a GW Tech Alumni Group luncheon. He discussed the effects of a “moral crisis of capitalism,” as forecasted by TechCast, a virtual think tank tracking the technology revolution. “It’s a challenge for the corporations. The wealth gap eliminates buying power; it’s not sustainable,” Halal said. “Disruptive technologies create opportunities for businesses that are unique, that you would not find ordinarily.”
