GWSB featured in Federal Computer Week

The GW School of Business was featured in a Jan. 20 story for Federal Computer Week about the Social Graph clinic, a conference on social media in the public sector hosted by the GWSB and L2, a think tank for digital innovation. “Many [federal] agencies view social media as just another set of channels for their announcements and don’t leverage the exponential nature of social platforms,” said Adam Conner, associate manager for privacy and global public policy at Facebook. “On social platforms, users are connected to many other users, so that shared content can be spread exponentially through concentric networks.” A second story on Federal Computer Week, “Federal agencies ranked from feeble to gifted in digital competence,” also featured the Social Graph clinic. The Jan. 21 article focused on discussion of the Digital IQ study, authored by GWSB, NYU and L2, at the event.
