GWSB Students Sweep Scholarships
Four GW School of Business graduate students have received scholarships from Tourism Cares. This non-profit organization works to preserve natural, cultural and historic sites worldwide for future generations. One way Tourism Cares pursues this goal is by presenting academic and service-focused scholarships to hospitality and tourism students. This year, GWSB had more winners than any other university.
GWSB students Jill Talladay (AMTA ’11), Liron BenDor (AMTA ’12), Jennifer Stange (MTA ’11) and Yolanda Tuttle-Williams (AMTA ’11) were all recipients of the 2010 Tourism Cares scholarships and were invited to participate in the National Travel Association annual convention, held Nov. 13-17 in Montreal, Quebec. This event brings together a majority of the North American travel sector and serves as a major point of entry into the tourism industry.
