Special Journal Issue on Sustainability Features GW Contributions
The September Academy of Management Learning and Education journal is a special issue focused on Sustainability in Management Education and features the work of several GWSB and GW alumni and faculty.
Two former GWSB doctoral students, Tim Clark, Phd, ’09, and Mark Heuer, PhD, ’01, contributed to the issue, which appeared online this September. The issue was co-edited by Clark, Mark Starik, chair of the Department of Strategic Management and Public Policy, Gordon Rands and Alfie Marcus. In addition, Scot Holliday, a graduate of the Graduate School of Education and Human Development, wrote an interview with his father, Chad Holliday, GWSB Executive-in-Residence and former CEO and Chairman of Dupont. Eva Collins, a graduate of The Columbian College of Arts and Sciences, co-contributed an essay. All four students graduated after writing sustainability-related dissertations, according to Starik.
“I want to especially thank GWSB’s James Bailey both for starting this journal a decade or so ago and for recommending our team and topic for the special AMLE issue,” said Starik, who leads GW’s Institute for Sustainability.
Starik plans to host a celebration and webinar for the print launch of this issue. To view the issue, please visit here.
