Forum Explores Lessons Learned in Fighting International Crime
GWSB’s Center for Latin American Issues (CLAI) and the Strategic Studies Institute of the United States Army War College hosted a June 29 colloquium on lessons learned from efforts to combat international drug trafficking, transnational crime and money laundering. Speakers at “Plan Colombia and the Mérida Initiative: Comparatives and Lessons Learned,” included Colombian Ambassador to the United States Carolina Barco Isakson, Mexican Ambassador to the United States Arturo Sarukhan and Roberta Jacobson, deputy assistant secretary for the Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs at the U.S. State Department.
